Abstract: . . . which sector we work within, without customers, none of us will have a business that survives. Approximately half thought third party certification adds credibility to their Quality Management System. It’s to counteract the “ well you would say that wouldn’t you” propaganda. A new mill! It is easy for all of us within the Quality Profession to become complacent and we should all make sure we add value to our service offerings to ensure contractual longevity and Customer Satisfaction We have to understand the underlying reason why eight out of ten surveyed did not comment during the development stages of ISO 9001:2000. Was it because the opportunity was not advertised enough? Or, individuals who act as Quality Representatives felt that their point of view would not be . . . . . . we should savour and enhance, no matter if you are a Quality Manager or Provider of Services to the profession.
