On the other hand, the high production level ensures the excellent quality of our GEMAC products (PROFIBUS TESTER and CAN-BUS TESTER, various inclination sensors). The purchase of the needed assembly components and the distribution of selected construction elements are assigned to the production department, too. Therefore, we can offer our customers the whole range of services from the product development over the product care and maintenance to the product manufacturing. Page 11 Quality Management Handbook Edition: Revision: Page: 02 06 11 4. Quality Management System 4.1 General Demands The QMS in our company is based on the norm DIN EN ISO 9001 :2000. The management is responsible for the QMS. They have to make sure that the QMS’s quality principles and goals are being observed. The department managers and the production manager are answerable to the management. A quality representative is assigned to plan, observe and update the QMS. Every employee of our company has the duty to respect the rules in his / her department and to actively work on the improvement of the system. 4.2 Demands on the Documentation The QMS consists of the following instruments: QM handbook QM procedure models QM procedure instructions Check lists and forms Current industry standards. Every document that was written in the QM system is treated and maintained according to the norm DIN EN ISO 9001 :2000. The procedure instructions are valid. These documents are confidential and cannot be given to strangers. The department managers and the production manager are responsible for the quality security corresponding to the customer’s specification and for valid norms and standards. 4.2.1 The QMR – Quality Management Representative The QMR is directly answerable to the management. He is in charge of the development and maintenance of GEMAC’s quality management handbook. He plans, observes, updates, distributes and withdraws the documents of the QMS and puts them into the archives if necessary. The QMR is also responsible for the organization and realization of audits and further training in QMS. He is the person to contact if customers have questions concerning general quality activities. Once a year the QMR establishes an analysis concerning the quality situation of our company which he presents to the management and evaluates together with the department managers. Our QMR has access to all quality relevant data of the company. They change the department documentations and distribute and update new documents.
