Abstract: . . . gradually upgrading their quality systems, the Sincert (National System for Accreditation of Certification Organisms) established a transition period (until December 2003) in which both editions of the norm (the 1994 edition and the 2000 edition) remain will simultaneously in effect. After this date the 1994 edition of the ISO 9000 norms will be withdrawn and can no longer be used as a reference standard for the awarding and renewal of certificates. By the end of December 2003, the firms with quality certificates according to the ISO 9000 standards must update their system and related documentation to the new norms. The new norm presents some changes, most importantly a greater and more explicit attention to the problems of customer satisfaction and continual improvement, which must then be introduced into the quality systems. 5.3 The consultants: ISVOR FIAT Isvor Fiat is the corporate university of the Fiat Group.
